Your Hindu wedding is a vibrant tapestry of rituals, familial bonds and love — a celebration that deserves to be captured with authenticity and elegance. You want to balance the beauty of your heritage with a contemporary aesthetic. That means photos that capture the traditional without feeling overly posed, stiff, or edited into something unrecognisable.
That's where I come in.
I specialise in documentary-style Hindu wedding photography — raw, candid, deeply emotional storytelling that prioritises real moments over staged and manufactured images. Less cheese, and a natural approach that balances the grandeur of your wedding with the intimacy of unscripted moments. Hindu weddings deserve this sort of photography: they're colourful, chaotic and beautiful, and they should be treated like a festival, not a styled shoot.
Here's a Tamil wedding I shot in Sydney — note the focus on the story, and on all the small moments of the day.

MY philosophy
Emotive, authentic and relaxed.
My philosophy is about capturing photos that are emotive. Above all I want my couples to look at their photos and be both surprised and moved. The very best photos — the ones that bring the most joy — are the ones that document real moments and real stories, in a way that’s elegant but authentic.
I also seek uniqueness. I want your images to be different, to be you, to tell the tale of your own day rather than the hundreds of other days I’ve captured. So I’m always planning a twist: photos that are creative and beautiful at the same time. There are so many opportunities for making something special, and I’m always looking for them.
I’m a firm believer that wedding photography shouldn’t rule your wedding day. It shouldn’t take up too much time, and it shouldn’t exhaust you. So for most of your wedding I shoot discreetly. When we do spend time on portraits I make it as easy and enjoyable as possible, and I’ll guide and direct you throughout.
You have a wedding to enjoy, after all.

WHY me?
Because your wedding isn't just a checkbox item.
As an Australian photographer with years of experience documenting Hindu and cross-cultural weddings, I bridge the gap between tradition and modernity. Here's what sets me apart.
I get second-generation brides
You want to honour your family's expectations without sacrificing your personal style. I'll work with you to capture both the rituals and the realness, while soothing the many competing needs of an extended family. I've got endless patience and I'm very relaxed.
No over-the-top posing
Forget awkward “look at the camera and smile” prompts — there will be a few, but only a few. I focus on genuine interactions: the way your partner’s hands shake during the Sindoor ritual, or your mum’s proud smile as she adjusts your dupatta.
Subtle, not showy
My compositions highlight the artistry of your ceremony — the intricate mandap florals, the sacred fire, the drape of your lehenga — without overshadowing you.
Flexible packages
Full-day coverage, intimate minimonies, or multi-day events — I tailor coverage to fit your vision.
I shoot a lot of photos
This one's particularly important for mum. She wants every moment captured, every intricate detail, and especially all of your relatives. I can handle it.
Experience
Tamil Hindu weddings, Sinhalese Buddhist weddings, Muslim (Nikah) weddings, Sikh weddings. I’ve shot all around Australia and in Colombo, Sri Lanka. My dream is to shoot a wedding in India one day — we shall see.
KIND WORDS
“His professionalism, creativity, and ability to make us feel comfortable resulted in photos that exceeded our expectations.”

Given the wide variety of traditional weddings — from small intimate civil ceremonies to multi-day festival-style celebrations — I keep quoting flexible. Send me a basic outline of what you're hoping to cover and I'll give you an all-inclusive quote. Single-day event
My Basic Package
from $3,800 INC GST
Additional days add additional cost. The minimum is 1,200 images, but it usually works out closer to 1,500 — and for Hindu weddings it's more often in the range of 2,000 to 3,000.
Add-ons: a second photographer at $750 — often a good idea for Hindu weddings, especially when bride prep and groom prep are far apart — DIY fine-art albums from $890, and extra hours by arrangement. Full pricing is here.
Send me an outline of your day — however many ceremonies it runs to — and I'll put a quote together.
I take a limited number of weddings each year. Get in touch to check your date and tell me a little about your day.
